The Gehre Girls are just so darn cute. Each one is so different yet they all fit together perfectly... like little puzzle pieces that are only complete when together.
These gals braved the freezing cold wind during this session, not that you can tell!! Full of smiles and laughter, they were troopers and we had so much fun. Their mom, Brittany, brought a family heirloom quilt to wrap them up in-between shots and it quickly became a funny game of snuggle. I asked them if they loved to cuddle together at home, and they all laughed yelling NO! Myla said they like to wrestle more... my kind of girls!
Despite the cold, I was thankful for the wind as it helped add movement to the images. The wind was blowing each girls hair differently, but in a way that it suited. Charlotte just ran and jumped and laughed, not caring how hard the wind was blowing. Her hair is blown fierce. Autumn is the oldest and definitely the thinker of the group. But she also is quite silly and her younger sisters look up to her so much. Her hair blew gently as if it was thinking too. Myla was a twirling ball of laughter, and her long hair was flowing around her like the princess in Brave. And it was so sweet to watch her making sure that Charlotte was wrapped up warm in their quilt.
Im sure they have their days of fighting, as all siblings do! But this day, I got to see them in such loving little moments that I will remember always. Charlotte was adamant I had to keep the flowers she picked, and we tucked them in my camera bag so they wouldn't get smooshed. Amazingly, they are still alive and on my windowsill in a little tiny vase of water. <3
I love capturing children's unique personalities and darling interactions. Priceless memories. <3
