For me, it’s all about the love… the connection + emotion of capturing people madly in love. My goal is to showcase images that reflect your own special connection — not how everyone else is photographed. Thus, started my love for documentary wedding photography.

My goal with documentary wedding photography is to blend-in, letting the moments unfold and capture those unique interactions that run true to you. Below is a small glimpse of how I approach a day.
One of my favorite things to capture. I feel strongly that the Getting Ready images are super important — it helps tell the story of your first day together as a married couple. All those special things you selected to wear, the people you have around you helping to get ready, the heirlooms, and those beautifully quiet moments alone to reflect on all this day will celebrate… it’s such a special thing to look back through and cherish.
I make sure to find a lovely spot to capture not only your little details, but also for those getting dressed shots. Then I tend to stay in the shadows, capturing all the moments as they unfold.

Thru the Reception, I keep it candid while capturing details and all the guests relaxing, laughing, and having fun. And when the dance floor opens, I am right there in it to grab all those great images of everyone letting loose and breaking it down together.
I typically do not stay the whole evening, just enough to get the goods.
At some point, we may sneak away for sunset images or a champagne pop — if you choose.
And I do love capturing a big send off, it’s such a festive moment with your guests. All those happy faces cheering you on — priceless!

During the First Look and Couples Portraits — this is where the romance of your love is on high as we wander through the venue having fun capturing intimate + silly moments together.
Whether the group is big or small, I can easily take command of Family portraits making sure we get everything needed as quickly as possible — I coordinate a shotlist with you beforehand. And the fact that I'm tall, people tend to listen to me asap when directing groups, lol.
During the Ceremony, I try to focus on reactions from family and loved ones, in hopes of catching those tearful sweet moments and heartfelt smiles as you say “I do”.

During the session, we have the time to get to know each other, and I get to see how you and your partner interact… what you are comfortable with posing wise and how you like to love on each other. We build trust, we build confidence in showcasing your love, and we have a ton of fun at play.
— Most of my shooting prompts carry over into the wedding day portraits, so knowing how you move and interact together is absolutely key for having seamless portraits on your wedding day, and images in your gallery that you will cherish.
As long as I can remember, I have always been in love with black + white images. If you haven’t already noticed from my website, lol. But for me, there is such a strength to an image when all the color is stripped away and you are left with the emotions of the moment — all those feelings in full focus.
Because of this, I do not batch edit my black + white images… meaning you will not receive a black + white counterpart to all your color images. Throughout your gallery, you will receive images in black + white that are meant to be showcased that way… ones that are meant to display the full emotion of the moment.
