I AM NERDY ABOUT LIGHT + F’ING LOVE RAINBOWS

I get really excited about good lighting + dramatic shadows. So, may you see me jumping up + down clapping when I find the perfect spot — I cannot help myself! It is like the best… and feel free to join in with me so I won’t feel like such a nerd. And rainbows, need I say more?? I have always been slightly obsessed with rainbows and love that they tend to show up when I’m out shooting on stormy days.

I AM FUELED BY COFFEE + KINDNESS

“The Office” and “Parks + Rec” are on a binge-watching rotation in our house… “I love you + I like you”. Music is also a constant, as kitchen dance parties are a must. I have a slight obsession with trees, yep total tree hugger — I just love how the light + wind seem to dance through their leaves. The coast is my happy place, but I also crave the mountains and all those greens. My teen athletes are my heroes — their passion is so inspiring. And even though I am quite sarcastic, I can always find the silver lining.

I AM KINDA HIPPIE + KINDA HOOD

I am tall, laugh really loud and give the best hugs. If you are not into hugs, you probably will be by the end of the session! I grew up on 60’s music, survived the 80’s, and my heart holds onto the Grunge era that was Seattle in the 90’s. But I am also shaped by my youth spent in Oakland. It helped me realize how important it is to stand up for yourself, as well as those you love, and not take shit from anyone.
