Alveare Winery Wedding, Carnation Wa

Orenda Winery in Carnation, Wa is an absolute hidden gem. This venue has such character in almost every aspect of the property. From the old ivy wall + gate entrance, to the quaint getting ready lofted room, down to the ceremony location tucked amongst trees with a lovely fountain, and over to the modern open reception area. It’s just stunning, and the perfect vibe for John and Devon.

Devon’s mom Erin (best name ever, lol) has been a wedding planner for quite some time and nothing was overlooked. The details in this wedding were so elegantly done, yet so simple. Keeping on point with the theme, it had soft pale pastels tones, loads of wildflowers in complimentary colors, while staying centered around family by featuring albums and framed photographs of loved ones.

The table scapes had tiny vintage mirror table numbers, old mis-matched heirloom china, candles, and little bundles of wildflowers all along long tables — which I love as it makes the reception feel more intimate and people can connect/talk much easier vs sitting at huge round tables. And the food was some of the best I have ever had at any wedding I’ve attended. And it was served family style to help keep everyone comfortable with less time having to move about.

This group was full of life and fun, so we kept most of their portraits with that vibe in mind. I love seeing all their candid laughter come thru in their photographs. And for the send-off, John and Devon could not do sparklers so I recommended using light wands and it has been my big request for couples going forward. We handed them out on the dance floor and it became the life of the party — everyone young and old wanted to join in dancing with these things! So if you are wondering how to liven up things, get these asap!
