Photography is more than image... it’s a feeling, a memory, a way of holding on to what matters. My approach is rooted in presence, trust, and an eye for honest beauty. Each collection is captured with intention, so what we create together not only reflects this season of life, but elevates it into something lasting.
Your story deserves more than a photoshoot. It deserves to be seen—clearly, softly, truthfully.
I recognize how essential it is for photographs to reflect your individual connection, so my focus is on candid interactions and authentic emotions that run true to your day. My eye for the little details and a deep appreciation for beauty found in un-scripted moments, enable me to create images that celebrate the love and memories you share together as your day unfolds.
"We have not been able to stop staring at the photos. THANK YOU! We are in love with them, and feel so lucky to have gotten to work with you on them. We are just even more excited for the wedding day!!"

While diving into Super 8 film thru the years and sending off test footage, it became quite apparent that the anxiety of sending this crazy delicate film thru the mail to a lab (often outta state) to be handled and processed, digitized, and returned for me to then edit and work my magic was just too damn stressful of a process. At times, it gave me such anxiety.
With all the weddings I have photographed (or attended), I cannot count the times I've spoken to couples who added Super 8 video to their wedding coverage only to have the film become either corrupted / damaged in processing, or lost in the mail. Hearing the pain in their voices from the loss of these precious memories, broke my heart. And I know at times, this can even happen with digital coverage too, as memory cards can become corrupted at any time causing loss of footage. But it tends to happen a lot less frequently.
Searching for a way to still have all the feeling of shooting Super 8, but keep the process more simple, out of so many hands and easier to manage, I found the perfect workflow. Thus, my Super 8 footage is captured digitally, on a retro video camera, and edited by me to ensure the same look & feel of vintage Super 8 films. To my joy, the process has been 100x less stressful and the results are just as perfectly imperfect.
Super 8 films are very meaningful to me as they were such a part of my childhood thru nearly all family functions and life celebrations. For quite some time I have worked to incorporate into my offerings so this beautiful way of viewing life could be enjoyed by my clients.
With Candid Wedding Photography, the focus here is more about the people and their real reactions or interactions. The goal is capturing authentic unposed "as it happens in the moment" images of emotions throughout your wedding day, without any posing, guidance, or staging by the photographer.
For example, during certain events of the day such as Getting Ready, Cocktail Hour, or the Reception, I tend to gravitate to this style and focus on all those candid reactions and interactions of people during the event—it provides a very real and intimate perspective of that specific moment. It is not my focus for the whole day, as I feel there are certain events that do need a little more guidance. Those events can still have a candid and documentary feel, but they are better photographed with everyone on the same page and understanding what you are trying to achieve photo wise.
Documentary Wedding Photography focuses on day's interactions and connections as they happen naturally vs. capturing something that is staged or overly posed. This style helps provide an accurate representation of the people and events throughout your whole wedding day— images will showcase true-life reactions and candid moments, and not forcing you to be or act in a way that is unnatural to you. So, if you or your guests are a more reserved, this will reflect as such in the gallery as well. I also try to include storytelling detail images from your day, to provide that full representation of how your wedding looked and felt.
There’s something undeniably magical about capturing life on Super 8... the soft focus & grain, the gentle flicker, the warm, nostalgic tones that make every moment feel timeless.
Super 8 doesn’t just record what happened; it preserves how it felt. The laughter in-between, the quiet squeeze of a hand, the wind catching a veil at golden hour—all of it becomes textured with emotion and authenticity. Unlike crisp digital perfection, Super 8 embraces imperfection, turning fleeting glances and spontaneous joy into a living memory that feels intimate, romantic, and beautifully real.
I get that some wedding blogs have pushed this request, and lead with fear regarding if a photographer is legit. However, I do not provide full galleries of past couple's weddings to those inquiring— their galleries are intimate and special, and to have strangers view their whole gallery and judge their images is not my vibe... each wedding is a unique situation, timeline, and set focus.
There are plenty of love stories showcased throughout my website that speak loudly enough towards my work and shooting style regarding how I capture day in a variety of locations & light.
+ please feel free to reach out and we can chat regarding your wedding day vision, to see how best it can be captured!
As long as I can remember, I have always been in love with black + white images— if you haven’t already noticed from my website, lol. But for me, there is such strength to certain images when all the color is stripped away and you are left with the emotions of the moment, having all those feelings in full focus.
Because of this, I do not batch edit my black + white images… meaning you will not receive a black + white counterpart to all of your color images. Throughout your gallery, you will receive images in black + white that are meant to be showcased that way… ones that stand stronger to display the full emotion of the moment.
Because during the session, we have the time to get to know each other, and I get to see how you and your partner interact… what you are comfortable with posing wise, and how you like to love on each other. We build trust, build confidence in showcasing your love, and we have a ton of fun at play.
— Most of my shooting prompts carry over into the Wedding Day portraits, which also helps couples with any posing anxiety they may have. Knowing how you move and interact together is absolutely key for having seamless portraits on your wedding day... and images in your gallery that you will cherish which speak true to you.
