After falling madly in love, Connor and Lacy knew we wanted to elope. They felt that their wedding should solely focus on the love they have for each other, instead of worrying about the colors they would choose or the food they should serve. So, they decided that they would get married in White Pine Colorado, which is a small mountain town that means a great deal to Lacy’s family. Connor + Lacy’s vows were said as they stood in a river, just the two of them, between vast mountains. The sweeping valley was the perfect venue for their elopement because they can most often be found outside exploring.
In Lacy’s own words…
“We felt the rush of cold water through our boots as we said our vows and we immediately fly fished after we proclaimed our love for one another. Afterwards, we returned to our cozy cabin, made a home cooked meal and slow danced in the kitchen. As the band “Current Swell” states, “we did it for ourselves, we never did it for the show.” We are so thankful we share this memory only with each other and we would not have it any other way! Even though this is how we chose to have our ceremony, we both still dreamed of having wedding photos that highlighted the love we have for each other. Wedding photos are so meaningful and we are grateful we were able to do a shoot with Erin!”
We choose this beautiful location in the Sammamish Hills for Connor and Lacy to celebrate their love and capture images that showcase their passion for each other — I couldn’t be more honored to give them this gift. It had open the fields with wildflowers and wooded secluded paths to fit right along with their outdoor exploring souls. My dear friend Bianca of Hidden Bohemian made a lovely bouquet of fresh peonies + flowers, along with a handmade macrame wrap… which was just perfect to complete her wedding attire. Connor and Lacy exchanged their own handwritten vows as well, and I picked up a yummy little cake from Whole Foods to help complete the celebration. At one point, I thought we might be in a Ralph Lauren Romance commercial, as the way Connor and Lacy got lost in each other was beautifully intense. I wish more couples held ceremonies like this… there is so much to be said about the celebration in just love itself. I always ask my couples, “what is one thing you really love about your partner?”
