Timelines are essential to having any kind of order or sanity on your wedding day, saving you tons of stress. Not only will it help things run smoother, but it will also help keep everyone on track as to where they need to be and what events are coming next.
About a month out, I ask for a copy of the rough draft so I can help review to make sure we have enough time. I started doing this because even with a planner, I tend to get the timeline only right before the wedding day and at that point, it can be nearly impossible to make any adjustments due to how many vendors are involved. And what we are left with is barely any time to capture the important images of your day. I have seen the most basic of things left off timelines, and it still baffles me… e.g. Couples Images. Yup… so, yeah.
In order to be able to perform my job effectively for you, we need time. This is why I make it a point to discuss timelines with my couples so they have a greater understanding of just how much time is needed (hint : it’s more than you think!) and that way they can start off better educated before diving into final planning. The more I know about your plans for the day, the better I can make sure we get it covered.
