For Jules + Hank, it was all about being in each other’s presence and the romance that radiated between them. We spent the afternoon at the Oregon coast with an intimate elopement to celebrate their love and take in everything that they have together at this time in their lives. The spot we found couldn’t have been more perfect, as well as the weather… it was a foggy overcast day, misting at times, which gave their elopement such a dreaminess and it allowed for them to snuggle into each other for warmth.
Jules wore an amazing peach tulle dress, that featured lace shorts underneath and a matching lace top with tulle capped sleeves. Hank wore black slacks and paired it with a button down shirt and a green/grey tailored jacket. The whole set complimented their surroundings and honestly is a key factor in achieving such a beautiful vibe in images. I also love it when couples reflect their style in their outfits, so they have something unique to them.
I also decided to use one of my favorite lenses for part of the day, the Lensbaby Composer Pro, because it tilts focus and allows for this amazing dream-like view to things. The focus plane is hard to nail down at times, which I actually love because dreams tend to always be in and out of focus and it paired perfectly for the day we had at the Oregon coast.
Shooting at the coast is one of my favorite ways to capture an intimate romance, and this whole session shows ya why.
